Well, we are almost into the middle of January, it’s amazing how fast time flies. In December, we gave our first Startup Online seminar at Business Victoria to their Fire Starter program. As Fire Starters ourselves, and as a new project, we are still finalizing many details and are open to suggestions and recommendations from you, as to how we can serve you better. At the end of January we are moving from Victoria to Toronto! We’ve been laying low through the holidays as we’re getting ourselves ready for the big transition. It seems like just yesterday when we joined Business Victoria (May of 2011) and we’re already moving away and working with new clients!
If you have visited this site before, then you will notice that things are different, again. Yes! We have changed themes for a third time. A new magazine style theme arrived in December, and immediately made the switch over. We feel it’s an improvement from the previous. It’s all about change.
We’ve just recently finished working with a Startup project, a local music duo located here in Victoria named KousKous Music. When they approached us, they only had a Myspace page, no website, with no previous online experience. Today, they are rolling with their new website and driving it all themselves! In fact, after the training was finished, they were able to deploy a second site, with very little assistance from us!! We are excited to see our clients fly with the freedom they are looking for online, without getting complicated and expensive.
What makes this so rewarding is watching the joy that other people experience with the accomplishments they make in the process of building their own website. This is the reason why we created Startup Online in the first place.

My partner and I met with Maria and Markus at a coffee shop. Maria was training Markus. They listened to us, and seemed to understand our needs. Their sense of humor, knowledge of computers and the word press system, interest in giving us the skills we need, and excitement for our website put us at ease.
Maria has crafted a good method which balances hand holding, explanation, computer wizardry, technical prowess, an eye for design and color, and artistry that birthed our beautiful website in less than 2 weeks. I am able to make changes, and add information with confidence. Maria and Markus have been available via e-mail when questions have arisen. Their answers were clear and instructions easy to follow.
I am very happy with our website, and we’ve received much praise. I’m convinced that our website will help us to bring our music to more stages and special events. Thanks! Amber Woods
