Who says that WordPress.com can’t be used for a photography portfolio? I selected a very minimalist theme called Nishita to build my photography portfolio. A very simple and clean theme that can easily adopt various methods of embedding and displaying images.
For this I used the insert gallery option, you can also use a slide show option however I prefer the thumbnail appearance. Once you click on an image the frames load into a sweet animated horizontal slider thanks to WordPress.
There are various examples of how other photographers have used the theme for their portfolio needs. If you’re not in the market for a more complicated set up, this might just do it for you.
